Baloch extremists target school principal; son killed Five injured in bomb blast

QUETTA: Terrorists targeted a patriotic school principal in Balochistan, killing his 10-year-old son and leaving him and two daughters injured.
The incident took place in Khuzdar where Muzaffar Jamali, the principal of Pakistan Public School, was targeted by unknown attackers when he was leaving home for the school along with his children.
“The attackers opened fire on Jamali’s vehicle. His ten-year-old son, Abdullah, died on the spot while the principal and his two daughters, Amira and Arifa, and a passerby sustained bullet injuries,” DCO Kharan Asadullah Karar told the media. He said the principal was a patriotic person and had been threatened by Baloch separatists for allowing the singing of national anthem in his school. Jamali and his children are said to be out of danger after they were shifted to Quetta for medical treatment.
Meanwhile, at least five people have been injured in a powerful bomb blast took place on Qandhari Bazaar Road of the provincial capital here on Saturday night. Police said that unidentified armed men had planted explosive material near Manan Chowk in Qandhari Bazaar, off Jinnah Road and detonated it with a remote control. “As a result of the explosion, at least five people including have been injured,” police said. The law enforcement agencies personnel have rushed to the site and shifted the injured to Civil hospital.
