Firing in Khuzdar: Levies Personnel Killed, Colleague Injured

QUETTA: A Levies Force personnel was killed and his companion wounded a firing incident in Khuzdar town, some 360 KM southeast of Quetta, on Wednesday.

According to police, unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate fire on Levies Force man Abdul Ghani and his companion Muhammad Umar in Khuzdar town. As a result, both sustained bullet wounds and were being shifted to hospital when Abdul Ghani succumbed to his injuries. The assailants fled from the scene after committing the crime.

Police say investigation into the killing is underway to unearth motive behind the killing, however, it could be an incident of target killing.

Police handed over body to heirs after completing legal formalities and conducting raids to arrest killers.
