Bullet-riddled body of journalist found in Khuzdar
QUETTA: A bullet-riddled body of a young journalist was found in Khuzdar, about 300-kilometre south of Quetta on Saturday morning. The victim was identified as Javed Naseer Rind who worked as a senior sub-editor at local daily in Mastung. Khuzdar police recovered the body near Ghazgi Chowk and shifted it to District Headquarters Hospital Khuzdar. The officers found a slip from the body in which his name was stated as Javed Rind. According to doctors, the body had bullet wound in head and multiple marks of torture. Rind was abducted on September 10 near his resident in Mehmoodabad area of Hub Town in Lasbela District. The relatives filed an FIR at Hub Police Station about the kidnapping of Rind soon after the incident. The Balochistan Union of Journalists has condemned the kidnapping and killing of Rind and demanded government constitute a high level committee to probe the incident. mohammad zafar

QUETTA – A bullet-riddled body of a journalist was recovered from Khuzdar district, some 360 Km southeast of Quetta, on Saturday.
According to police officials, area people spotted a body lying at Gazgi area and informed police. Policemen rushed to the site and moved the body to Civil Hospital Khuzdar for medico-legal formalities where deceased was identified as Javed Naseer Rind, a missing journalist. “The victim was hit by bullets in head and chest while marks of torture were also visible on his body,” hospital sources said. Police after completing legal formalities handed over the body to heirs.
Javed was a reporter and columnist who was working with Balochistan based Urdu language newspaper Daily Tawar. He was abducted from IT centre Hub on September 10. His relatives blamed intelligence agencies for his abduction and throwing his tortured dead body.
The brutal murder of Javed Naseer Rind has sent a wave of fear in Balochistan’s journalist community.
Balochistan Union of Journalist (BUJ) in a statement has strongly condemned the murder of Javed and demanded of the government to carry out investigation into his abduction followed by killing.
It may be mentioned here that previously several journalists were abducted and killed from different towns of Balochistan but no accused has been arrested so far.
